APOAD is an indie rock quartet hailing from the fine state of Arkansas, proud home of Walmart Headquarters.  Their repertoire is a catchy breed of melodic rock, ranging from instrumental material ("Velocity of a Rotating Helicopter Blade") to flat-out space rock ("The Hangar in Observation").  For a four-song EP, this is a pretty solid release - APOAD comes off as a less vocal-based Hopewell, focusing more on the noise than the melody.  This may mean a limited audience, but those who clue in to the new sound could find themselves quite swept away.  Oh yes, and hats off to the near-perfect "Hwy. 65 Church of Christ."  This is where space rock should be.
