Should I ever need some regular, inoffensive rock music, Chain Reaction will be an option for me. The band is simple, straight-out rock, the type you'd expect to hear in bars and such. Their songs are mildly infectious, but are too long for their own good. Not a single one falls under the four minute mark. Considering they don't have all that many tricks up their sleeves, the band would do well to fill their next album with some shorter songs.

What I can say about this album, Out of the Dark, is that it houses some pretty solid tunes. "The Black Hole," for example, is a catchy pop number with some nice guitar soloing and a cool chorus, and "Daily Grind" is quite infectious. It's just that so much of what Chain Reaction do is bland and overdone. With all the innovation that's going on in music nowadays, we need something different to be fully satiated. An okay effort, nonetheless.
