The Fearless Freep

"Go Cry" CD

MagWheel Records

Genres: indie rock, emo

band website

Jun 30 - Jul 6 2003

First impression: nice cover artwork.  So, I'm feeling superficial, wanna fight about it?

Go Cry is, in fact, Fearless Freep's third album, and it's a catchy, emotional dose of charged, often dark indie rock.  The subgenre in question here is close to emo, but the tunes are much more pop than they are punk.  Perhaps emocore?  Well what the fuck does that mean?  I don't know.  Let's just say FF makes sad, emotional tunes with guitars that carry you into the land of indie rock via a train of pop.  [I'm not even going to venture to figure out what that means.]

In short, if you want a nice, pleasant album full of emo-like indie rock music, Casket Lottery style, you can't go wrong with Go Cry.  Solid songs maketh a solid album, and you can test drive a few for yourself at www.the-fearless.freep.com to make sure I'm not fibbing.
