Shitttttttt yes. The Four Corner Races 7" could
be one of the best records I own, and that's among pretty impressive
company. These guys play no-prisoners-taken hardcore rock, like
if you took Rocket From the Crypt, distilled all the loud,
climactic parts, and then turned it up a hundred or so decibels.
At times they sound like they could be on Dischord, but there's
something more full and deep (and even suffocating) about their
music. Side A's title-track is the better of the two; it has a
trademark intensity, but doesn't let that come in the way of melody.
No sir, this is vicious but infectious - not as catchy as "Come
on Eileen," perhaps, but still strong enough to keep you coming
back. Now where's the album?
