"Like Being Found" CD

Solponticello

Genres: alt country, pop, rock

Riveter is the cross-genre pop unit led by singer / songwriter Julie Powell.  Their music combines elements of folk, jazz, country, and rock music, all done in a mature and elegant manner.  The songs on Like Being Found are very melodic and infectious right from the opener, "Over My Head".  Fitted with a laidback bass, guitar, and drum backing, the tune is set up to showcase Julie's beautiful voice, which flawlessly rolls over the infectious chorus.

The other tracks are also brimming with delicious melodies and various musical influences.  Songs like "Sympathize" and "Eyes Don't Lie" are hard not to like.  The whole album, which is fine fit into Solponticello's varied genre base, is probably more geared towards older audiences, but that's fine in this case.  Lend an ear.
